Univ Relations

PACUR, the President’s Advisory Committee on University Relations, builds and reinforces relationships between UCAR management and its membership. PACUR acts as an advisory committee to the President, proposing agenda items for Members Meetings and proposing activities and programs for UCAR to undertake.

UCAR Next Generation Fellowships

Next Generaton Fellowships - students discuss scientific poster

The UCAR Next Generation Fellowships provide financial support for graduate students from underrepresented communities for two years of graduate school and the opportunity to spend two summers in internships with NCAR and UCAR. The program offers three distinctive tracks: Earth System Science,  Diversity and Inclusion in the Atmospheric Sciences, and Public Policy.

UVisit University Visits in Science, Interaction, and Teaching

UVisit is the inaugural activity of UCAR’s new University Relations program. The UCAR President’s Office sponsors UVisit to enable NCAR and UCP scientists and engineers to spend significant time at U.S. universities to participate in collaborative research, teaching, lectureships, workshops, etc. Universities may request a visitor for a particular purpose, and NCAR and UCP scientists and engineers are encouraged to apply to visit a university or college in our community.

UMatch: Student and mentor

UMatch helps connect the university community with NCAR and UCP scientists, engineers, and other staff who are interested and available for collaboration and service opportunities.

University Relations

University Relations creates opportunities for increased collaboration between UCAR and the university community by enhancing existing lines of communication and creating new channels for information exchange.
