Recommended Research and Education Priorities for the Federal Investment in the Academic Atmospheric, Earth, and Related Sciences

Understanding how the Earth system works and transforming this knowledge into action will allow our nation and the world to effectively respond and adapt to changing environmental conditions. National investment and leadership combined with enhanced partnerships across all levels of government, the private sector, the academic sector, and the nongovernmental organization sector are necessary to make this vision a reality.
